A recent fundraising concert was held in St Andrew’s Church by the Garioch Fiddlers on Sunday, 26th January 2025.

Organised by Rosie Milne, around 24 members of the concert party delighted the audience to a wonderful selection of Scottish traditional music.

Various solo performances took place including, Jessica Watson, junior violinist, Olwenn Stewart and Rosie Milne played flute duets, Peter Fraser on

mandolin, Ian Thow on accordion and our own Jim Stuart on vocals.

Over 70 people were entertained to an amazing selection of jigs, waltzs and reels including some Robert Burns’ Sets, most admirably compered by Colin Dempster.

Of course, the event was thirsty work and we were all very well attended to by the St Andrew’s catering volunteers, including a lovely range of homebakes.

The event raised £700 for our church funds and we are most grateful to all who were involved. Thank you.

If you have never been to hear the Garioch Fiddlers you are in for a treat when you do. The next time the Fiddlers are due to play in Inverurie is Saturday, 26th April 2025 in the Town Hall.
